Evelyn R. Pummel's Obituary
Mrs. Evelyn Ruth Pummel, age 86, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at a local nursing home. Evelyn was born June 30, 1922 in Melrose, Ohio to William Ben and Ruth (Akerman) Miller. She married Brady Gampher and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1985. She then married Harvey Pummel on September 15, 1990 in Convoy, Ohio, and he survives her. Evelyn was a beautician for all of her adult life in the Convoy, Ohio area. She was very active in Pleasant View Baptist Church in Convoy, and very much enjoyed traveling and doing mission work. Evelyn is also survived by her 5 step-children, Harvey ( Sandy) Pummel and David (Shirley) Pummel, all of Muskegon, Geraldine “Geri” (Bill) Bowen of Zeeland, Barbara (Ralph) Rader of Rothbury, and Jerome Pummel of Muskegon; 1 nephew, Jim (Renee) Taylor; and her special friends, Sandra Johnston and Steve and Jennifer Waltmeyer all of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, 1 sister, Bertie Taylor, and a foster sister, Betty Green. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 2 PM Monday, July 7, 2008 at
