Everett "Gene" Givens Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Everett “Gene” Givens Jr., age 89, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 in Muskegon. He was born on October 1, 1927 in Spring Lick, Kentucky to Everett Sr. and Emma (Howard) Givens. Gene proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a Master Mason and went on to become a builder, remodeler and rental property owner. Through the years he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed boating, nature and traveling. SURVIVORS include his children, Jeanette (Roger) Bak, Anthony (Jeannette) Givens, Michelle (Bud) Kelley and Philip (Deborah) Givens; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Lois Ferguson; 2 half siblings, Bennie (Hazel) Givens and Linda (Brownie)Hampton. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held from 1-4 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Whitlows Forerunner Restaurant Banquet Room, 4610 Airline Rd., Muskegon, MI.
