Fannie Baker's Obituary
Ms. Fannie Baker, age 79, passed away peacefully at her home. She was born in the same home on May 29, 1930 to Gerrit and Jessie (VanDyke) Baker. Fannie was a member of Hope Reformed Church and a prior member at Fifth Reformed Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir for 20 years. Misty and Precious were cats she loved deeply. Fannie was employed as a bookkeeper at Hardware Distributors for 24 years prior to her retirement. Fannie is survived by her nephew, Charles (Joann) Hagen and dear friends, William (Joanne) Phelps. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Henrietta Hagen, brother-in-law, Howard Hagen, nephew, Thomas Hagen. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11 AM Thursday, February 25, 2010 The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor Steve Hyma officiating. VISITATION will be 6-8 PM Wednesday and one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS to Hope Reformed Church or American Diabetes Association. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
