Mrs. (Fanny) Jean Danhof went home to be with The Lord on Feb. 23, 2016. Jean was born on Dec. 31, 1919 to Dirk Scholtens and Jennie Dutmer. She had one sister, Agnes, and one brother, Clarence. Jean graduated from Muskegon High S Read Obituary
Aunt Jean was my Jr. Church teacher. I remember so many songs, One Door, A Sermon in Shoes and many more. She lead me to the Lord when I was 8 years old. I just could never thank her enough for loving all her kids at The Church of the Open Door.
Great Aunt Jean has had an impact in the lives of children. I remember her as my Sunday School teacher, especially during the singing at Church of the Open Bible. I was 4 or 5 years old. We loved her! She attended my wedding in Des Moines, IA, in 1992. That was the last time I remember seeing her. She always had the love of Jesus shining from her face.
I will always remember Jean Danhof, since my sister, Peggy, was her daughter in law. She was a kind and gentle soul and will be sorely missed.
I remember my dad Elmer speaking of her in recent years. Dad went to heaven last February......guess they can catch up now on high school, berean church and sears. My sympathy to you.
