Faye J. Seeger's Obituary
Faye J. Seeger, age 87, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022. She was born September 25, 1934 in Muskegon to Gerald and Alice VanVleet. Faye graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s in Teaching. She went on to teach elementary school for the Fruitport and Mona Shores School Districts for 20 years prior to her retirement. On February 26, 1953, she married Robert L. Seeger in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on March 10, 2014. Faye was a long-time parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader, and spent many hours playing games with family and friends, especially Bridge. Faye loved to decorate her home for the seasons as well as holidays. She was known for her lovely handwritten notes and her taste in fashion, always well dressed and accessorized to the nines. SURVIVORS include two children: David Wesley (Theresann) Seeger of Coloma, MI and Michelle Marie Seeger of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren: Zachary (Felina), Tony, and Nick Goulet and Wesley (Tiffany) and Steven (Kassandra) Hiltner; and several great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Ann Hiltner. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel with the Rev. Fr. Charles D. Hall presiding. VISITATION with the family will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441 (231) 759-8565. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Harbor Hospice Foundation will be appreciated.
