Mr. Ferdinand Sellinger's Obituary
Mr. Ferdinand Sellinger, age 67, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, December 13, 2019. He was born on April 8, 1952 to Franz and Elisabeth Sellinger in Waiblingen, Germany. Fred married the former Rose Miller on September 25, 1971 and she preceded him in death in 1999. He proudly served his country while in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1972-1974. Fred enjoyed spending time outdoors watching the birds and deer and camping. He was a great handyman who could fix anything. Fred liked to pull pranks anytime he could and was a known jokester. He could usually be found watching cartoons or the SyFy channel or taking his ’66 Ford Fairlane he named ‘White Rat’ out for a drive. Fred is survived by his children, Tammy (Dan) Reiffer and Adam (Sonia) Sellinger; grandchildren, Kameron (Meka) Reiffer, Ryan (Brooke) Reiffer, Jacob Reiffer, Peyton Sellinger and Zander Sellinger; significant other, Cheri Brink and her children, Greg Stuhan, Troy Stuhan, Phillip Stuhan, Jeff Stuhan and Laura (Kevin) Wilburn; siblings, Ann (Dave) VanBergen, Lena (Chris) Black and John (Mary Wilson) Sellinger; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held at 3PM Friday, December 20 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI, 49444. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service, from 2-3PM.
