Fern Marie Braspenning's Obituary
Fern M. (Crain) Warmuskerken-Braspenning, age 80, of Muskegon, Michigan died on January 4, 2010. Fern was born on December 22, 1929 in Sullivan Township, Michigan to the late Otis and Allabell (Stiles) Crain. She married her first husband, Francis Warmuskerken and he preceded her in death then married Henry Braspenning and he also preceded her in death. Fern worked for Child Abuse Counsil and Foster Grandparents of Muskegon.
Fern is survived by: 2 sons: Otis (Sue) Warmuskerken of Ravenna and Henry (Kathi) Braspenning of Muskegon; 2 daughters: Barbara (Mickey) Payne of Cadillac and Arlene Clarke of Muskegon;1 Step- Daughter: Lavonda Gordon of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and several brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Fern was preceded in death in addition to her parents and husband, Henry, by: 2 brothers, R.D. Crain & Verol Crain and 2 sisters: Doris and Vera & Step Son Charles Warmuskerken.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11:00am at Evanston Baptist Church in Muskegon with Pastor Shane Prewitt officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, January 8, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00pm and again on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.
