Mr. Ferrell R. Smith's Obituary
Mr. Ferrell R. Smith, age 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday morning, April 16, 2013 in Muskegon. He was born June 1, 1929 in Effie, LA to Sam and Olivia (Crooks) Smith, and lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. Ferrell worked at S.D. Warren for 39 years before retiring, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Army Air Corp. veteran of WWII. On October 4, 1952 he married Allie M. Ebey, and she preceded him in death on July 24, 2008. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Ferrell “Ray” (Linda) Smith, Jr. of Wakeman, OH, Cynthia (Barth) Wernet-DeFay of Vancouver, WA; 5 grandchildren, Narrah (Paul) Gibbs, Nathan (Garen), and Maryann Smith, Kristifer (Jamie) and Sandra Bunnell; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Jesse R. (Kathy) Smith of LA. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters. THE FUNERAL SERVICE will be 10:00 AM Saturday, April 20, at Trinity Baptist Church, with Pastor Scott Church officiating. Interment will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
