Mrs. Flora I. Barber's Obituary
Mrs. Flora I. Barber, 96, passed away Thursday evening, August 10, 2017 in Muskegon. She was born February 18, 1921 in Obion County, TN, and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area.. Flora worked in central supply at Hackley Hospital for 35 years before retiring and was a member of the Muskegon Church of Christ. On July 25, 1946, she married George R. Barber, and he preceded her in death on January 19, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter Linda Fay Barber. Flora is survived by her guardian, Timothy Bryson; her best friend, Margaret Brown; and several other close friends. The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday, August 14, at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210. Visitation will be Sunday, August 13, from 2-4 PM, and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
