Florence DenBoer's Obituary
Mrs. Florence DenBoer, age 86, of Grand Haven passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019. She was born November 12, 1932 in Dalton Township, MI to Fred and Helen Hepler. On October 20, 1979 she married Gerrit DenBoer in Hart, MI and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2011.
Florence was a member of Community of Christ Church and a member of the Rusty Nails Band, and she enjoyed singing in different groups throughout her life. She enjoyed doing crafts, making cards and doing needle point. Most of all she loved being around people and her family.
She is survived by two children, David (Jean) Barney, and Nancy Charles; grandson, Jeremy Barney; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Hepler. She was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Thoma; brother, Fred Hepler and son-in-law, Ron Charles.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, May 11, 2019 at The VanZantwick Chapel (620 Washington Ave) with Rev. Sue Beavers officiating. Visitation will be 5- 8 PM Friday, May 10, 2019 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Noah’s Project or the American Cancer Society.
