Mrs. Florence L. Falconer's Obituary
Mrs. Florence L. Falconer, age 92, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at Great Lakes Specialty Hospital. She was born March 19, 1920 in Chicago, IL to Alfred and Emily (Hoaglund) Johnson. She was married to Roy R. Halter and he preceded her in death in 1975. She later married Charles H. Falconer and he preceded her in death in 2011. Florence worked over 30 years as a waitress and later worked 5 years as a secretary for the dean of biology department at Pasco-Hernando Community College. Florence was a member of the Masons Utopia Lodge 605 the Order of the Eastern Star in Chicago. She enjoyed listening to big band music, was an avid reader and enjoyed baking. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Dolly (Ed) Wantuch of Whitehall, Randal Earl (Susie) Halter of Spring Lake; step-daughters, Gayle (Doug) Turner, Cynthia (John) Reeves, Charlene (Jim) Jenrette; 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth Wantuch Bartsch, Christopher (Dawn) Wantuch, Matthew (Cathy) Wantuch, Jason (Lisa) Halter, Nicholas (Heather) Halter; 7 step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and her sister, June (Loren) Cheadle. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Chestnut Fields (5425 Chestnut Drive). VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM Saturday.
