Florence E. Hotwagner-Gerencer's Obituary
Mrs. Florence E. Hotwagner-Gerencer, age 87, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 in Holland. She was born on August 11, 1925 in Muskegon to John and Antonina (Dylewicz) Galat, and resided in the area for most of her life. Florence was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Hotwagner and Steve Gerencer. SURVIVORS include 3 children, William Hotwagner of Muskegon, Joseph (Carol) Hotwagner of Saugatuck, Thomas Hotwagner of Littleton, CO; son-in-law, Ken Duncan of Grand Haven; 5 grandchildren, Sarah, Luke, Michael, David, Emmarie; 3 step-children, Steve (Marge) Gerencer, Denise (Bill) McDermott, Anita (Rick) Johnson, and their children; sister, Helen (Peter) Boomgaard of Spring Lake, and many nieces and nephews. Florence was also preceded in death by her son, Mike Hotwagner, daughter, Janet Duncan, her parents, and brother, Ted Galat. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11AM Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Antony Britto and Rev. Fr. Tony Vainavicz con-celebrating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 10-11AM.
