Florence Marriett Leigh's Obituary
Mrs. Florence M. Leigh, age 67, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Heartland Lodge in Whitehall, MI. She was born June 8, 1944 in Muskegon to Fred Ellsworth and Reba Pearl (Beeman) Decker, Jr. Florence served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war and had been employed at Aarons Restaurant. She is survived by 3 sons, Thomas, Robert and Darrel (Cindy) Leigh; 1 brother, Albert “Roy” ( Brenda ) Decker; 2 sisters, Janey Lambert-Bennett and Alice Maycroft; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Fred III, James and Ronnie Decker and her sister, Betty Lawrence. Family and friends loved Florence for her kind heart and great sense of humor. She also was a Betty-boop collector and liked to play Yahtzee. In accordance with her wishes, a PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICE will be held. Those desiring an expression of sympathy are asked to consider, the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are being handled by The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.
