Florence J. Roomsburg's Obituary
Florence Joanne Roomsburg, age 80, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020. She was born June 12, 1940 in Rockford, IL to Wilmer and Florence Mae (Babcock) Perry. On January 25, 1958 she married Earl Richard Roomsburg in Rockford, IL and he preceded her in death on June 21, 2019. Florence worked 20 years as a cashier at the Town and Country Grocery Store prior to her retirement in 1998. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. SURVIVORS include 3 children: Brenda (Russell) Zuidema, Richard (Linda Thompson) Roomsburg, and Angela (Tony) Driscoll all of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren: Tiffany (Jerry Jewett) England, Russell Zuidema Jr., Nicholas Zuidema, Matthew (Courtney) Driscoll, Megan Driscoll, and Derek Driscoll; 2 great-grandchildren: Kathryn Marie England and Jackson Edward Driscoll; 2 sisters: Joyce Bush and Carol Perry both of August, GA; sister-in-law, Naula Perry of Annandale, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. Florence was also preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie Joy; son, Kevin James; and a brother, Clifford Perry. A PUBLIC visitation for Florence will be held from 6-8 PM Monday, November 23, 2020 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 (231) 726-5210. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing, a maximum of 25 family members and guests will be allowed in the funeral home at one time. PRIVATE family services will be held.
