Florence H. Saunders' Obituary
Mrs. Florence H. Saunders, age 97, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 in Muskegon. She was born in Montague on September 15, 1920 to Henry and Agnes (Weesies) Sikkenga. She was a member of Bethany Christian Reformed Church where she was active with the Women’s Fellowship and knitting ministry. On December 31, 1941, Florence married Bernard Saunders in Montague. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2000. She is survived by four children, Carole Heethuis, Bill Saunders, Jan (Paul) Stoub and Bob (Jeanne) Saunders; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister, Bette (Glen) Niemeyer and brother, Roger (Joan) Sikkenga. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Bethany Christian Reformed Church on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 2PM.VISITATION will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to World Renew or Bethany Christian Reformed Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. (231)726-5210.
