Florence D. Springsdorf's Obituary
Mrs. Florence D. Springdorf, age 84, died Friday morning, November 28, 2003. She was born August 2, 1919 in Winthrop Harbor, IL to Christian and Dora (Larsen) Jensen and had been a resident of Muskegon for most of her life. She was a 1938 graduate of Muskegon High School. Mrs. Springsdorf worked at the Muskegon Heights Police Dept. for 26 years before retiring in 1981. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, past Madam President of the Lakeside Eagles, member of the Muskegon Moose Lodge #491, and a member of the Danish Sisterhood. On August 24, 1940 she married Raymond H. Springsdorf in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on July 20, 1994. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Paul J. Springsdorf of Muskegon, Sally K. McDiarmid of Lakeside; granddaughter, Paula (Marty) Johnston of Florence, MS; 3 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Byron Jensen of Grand Rapids. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Earl Jensen. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at Lakeside United Methodist Church with Rev. David A. Selleck officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIALS to the Lakeside United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association will be appreciated. Arrangements by
