Florence M. Davies' Obituary
Mrs. Florence M. Davies, age 84, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 31, 2007 in Muskegon. She was born April 13, 1922 to Rupert and Pearl (Wilcoxon) Thompson in Muskegon, and lived most of her life here. Florence had worked as an L.P.N. at Hackley Hospital for 10 years, was a member of Crestwood United Methodist Church, the Friendship Class, and the Lydia Circle of the church. She was married to Thomas J. Davies, Sr. who preceded her in death on July 25, 1987. SURVIVORS include five children, Thomas James (Carol) Davies, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM, Marian (Edward) Davey of Muskegon, Roger (Sharon) Davies of Muskegon, Martha (Mike) Groendal of Whitehall, Marlene (Ernie Smith) Davies of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Katherine Kitchka of Nunica, Dollive Nelson of Muskegon, Alice Averil of Muskegon, several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her father, Rupert Thompson, her mother, Pearl Wood, and her sister, Gweneth Nickoloff. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday at Crestwood United Methodist Church, with Pastor Dianne Doten Morrison officiating. A private family interment will take place at Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION at
