Florence M. Glover's Obituary
Florence Myrtle Glover, age 87, of Grand Haven passed away Thursday, October 20, 2005, at a local care facility. She was born October 18, 1918, to Alce and Annie (Ross) Mc Calister in Pope County, Arkansas.
Mrs. Glover moved to Grand Haven from Portageville, MO, in 1954; and had been employed by Stanco Metal for 26 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Church of God of Grand Haven. Mrs. Glover enjoyed volunteering for church activities, crocheting, and knitting.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia (William) Appel of Grand Haven (Robinson Twp.); two sons, James (Kay) Glover of Baldwin; Dick (Debra) Glover of Grand Haven; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dolly Ruby of Arkansas, Laura Westfall of Grand Haven; four brothers, Oliver (Mildred) Mc Calister and Robert (Betty) Mc Calister, both of Missouri; Ross (Carol) Mc Calister of Flint; Jessie (Clara) Berry of Grand Haven; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Georgia Harden; and brother, Auther Mc Calister.
A funeral service for Florence M. Glover will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday
at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home, Grand Haven, with Rev. Donald Turner officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Interment will follow the service in Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorials to the Parkinson’s Association of West Michigan are appreciated.
