Floyd Wesley Hepworth Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Floyd Wesley “Butch” Hepworth, Jr., age 68, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 3, 2017 at his home in Spring Lake, Michigan. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on January 8, 1949 to Floyd and Mary (Polofornio) Hepworth, Sr. Butch was a veteran of the United States Marines and served two tours in Vietnam. He was employed by Luedtke Marine Construction and formerly by Andrie Transportation and Construction. Butch was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time on his property cutting trees and chopping wood. He was an avid woodworker and gun collector. Butch is survived by his children, Connie (Steve) McKellips, Angie (Don) Kalisz, Andrea (Dave) Heeringa, Alex (Dan) Vickers and Floyd Wesley “Buddy” Hepworth, III; 14 grandchildren, Aren, Samantha, Bailey, Blake, Aiden, Elliot, Vanessa, Vera, Valerie, D.J., Ally, Anderson, Blake and Brynn; his mother, Mary Hepworth; three sisters, Glenna (Mike) Castagna, Rosemary (Tim) George and Jackie (Wayne) Secrest; many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his former wife, Vanessa Bendixen. He was preceded in death by his father. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. VISITATION will be from 5-8 PM Monday, March 6, 2017 at The Lee Chapel and one hour prior to his service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS in Butch’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
