Mr. Floyd D. Locke's Obituary
Mr. Floyd Daniel Locke, age 83, passed away into the arms of his Heavenly Father, Thursday evening September 4, 2014. He was born September 7, 1930 in Muskegon Heights, MI to Harold and Gladys (Oyler) Locke and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1948. Mr. Locke completed Marine Corp basic training, but was then quickly recruited into the U.S. Army because of his vast technical skills. He then spent his time in the Army as a radar repair technician. Floyd worked for American Coil Spring for many years before his retirement. On November 10, 1951 he married the former Myrna Winter in Muskegon and she survives him along with 6 children: Daniel (Mary) Locke, Peggy (Dan) Garceau, Timothy and Mark Locke, Penny Wingett, and Robert Locke; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; grandson; and great-grandson. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 8, 2014 at Kainay Community Church, 3387 Heights Ravenna Rd., with Pastor Joseph Vest officiating.
