Forest E. Hainer's Obituary
Forest E. Hainer, age 96, passed away June 14, 2020 at a local hospital. He was born on February 28, 1924 to Elgin and Esther (Miller) Hainer in St. John, MI. Forest served his country in the US Army during World War II. Over the course of his career, Forest worked in sales and as an account manager for both Quaker Oats and later Morton Salt, retiring in 1986. He always enjoyed the game of golf and playing catch with a baseball. In 1950, he married Betty McBee in Ohio. She preceded him in death in 1977. SURVIVORS include 3 children; Laraine (Bryan) Facca, Mark Hainer and Keith Hainer; three grandchildren, Kara Doll, Megan Hainer, and Hayley Facca; three great-grandchildren, Samantha and Maxwell Doll, and Zoey Newberg; sister, Francis Terry, many nieces, nephews and countless others who loved him dearly. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Darwin and Elgin Hainer Jr. Following Forest’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the family are planning a Celebration of Life gathering at a later date.
