Forrest J. Hall's Obituary
Mr. Forrest J. Hall, age 92, passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 at Hackley Hospital. He was born on May 27, 1916 to James and Marguerite (Somers) Hall in the Shelby area. He was a founding member of St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church and shared his talents and abilities from the beginning. Mr. Hall served his country in the Navy during WW II. He was an avid golfer and belonged to the Elks Lodge BPO 274. In years past, Mr. Hall enjoyed ham radio communication W8YMM. Prior to his retirement in 1981, Mr. Hall owned and operated Western Electronic Supply Company in Muskegon. On July 4, 1942, he married Jean Rice and she preceded him in death in May of 1994. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Cheryl Vanderstelt of Laguna Niguel, CA, Susan (Philip) Daigle of Berkley, MI, Timothy (Kathy) Hall of Rockford, MI and daughter-in-law, Kathy Hogston of North Muskegon; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Lucille (Leonard) Johnson of Muskegon; 2 brothers, Harold “Bob” (Ruth) Hall of Cleveland, TN and Gordon Hall of Muskegon, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack (Catherine) Rice of Muskegon. Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, 1 son, Steven Hall in 1996 and 2 brothers, Arthur and Stuart Hall. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 2 PM Friday, December 5, 2008 at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church (1200 Seminole Rd.) with Rev. David Brower officiating. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider St. Gregory’s Memorial Fund.
