Foster D. "Dada" Frederick Jr.'s Obituary
Foster D. "Dada" Frederick Jr., age 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 11, 1948, in Atlanta, GA, to Foster and Ezephyr (Chislom) Frederick Sr. At the age of nine, he moved to Muskegon, MI, where he later graduated from Muskegon High School in 1967.
Foster spent 21 years as a dedicated employee of Muskegon Piston Ring before retiring in 1986. On December 6, 1969, he married the love of his life, Pauline Shine, in Muskegon. Together, they enjoyed 55 years of love, laughter, and countless memorable nights spent playing Dominoes with family.
In his younger years, Foster was an avid outdoorsman, with a deep passion for both hunting and fishing. His love for cars was well known, as was his fondness for playing cards and, of course, Dominoes. Foster also had a great appreciation for music and was always the first to show off his dance moves.
Above all, Foster will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family. He was the life of every party, always bringing joy, laughter, and a spirit of celebration. His family and friends will cherish the many memories they have of his warmth, generosity, and zest for life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pauline Frederick; four children, Tawanda (Curtis) Mathis, Dr. Kordilia (James) Noble, DaleTron Thompson and Foster Frederick III; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; siblings, Wanda (Terry) Jennings, Dezzi Truitt, Caponya Jenkins, Frederick Jenkins and Demetria Jenkins; a host of nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Seemore; and daughter-in-law, Brandy Frederick. Arrangements entrusted to The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441. Share memories with the family at www.sytsemafh.com.
