Dear Grandpa, Chris, Dale & Mom,
We received notice of Grandma's death Monday evening. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I remember being baptised together at First Assembly and Chris' wedding there and of course windmeal cookies. I remember her long blond ponytail and her many cats.
We have 5. Naughty Kitty lives inside and then we have the 4 outside kitties. They wait at the door each morning and evening for their kitty food.
I remember the trailer home parked out by the flower garden and Grandpa's vegetable garden down the lane and the beautiful pine trees. They are still my favorite; for some reason I love the pines. We used to play hide and seek in them when we were children.
And of course Grandpa going ice fishing. Don takes the kids to a bridge in Tampabay. They just catch the fish for fun and throw them back in and watch the stingrays and sometimes dolphins swim nearby.
I also remember the lovely Christmas trees. Don always hunts for the biggest one he can find because I love them so.
I remember Great-Grandma making us homemade hot cocoa, but I don't know how she did it and her lovely petunias. I sometimes try to plant some in the spring. Don's brother has bought a place where the old celery fields used to be.
I miss getting together around the holidays. However, Grandma is now united with her mom and dad and little sister. She'll get to see my Baby Richard as well.
Love to all. May the Lord's angels and blessings always be near your lives and homes.
Lovingly yours,
