Frances Marie Ries' Obituary
Mrs. Frances Marie Ries, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born in Ludington, Michigan on September 26, 1935. Frances married Fredrick L. Ries on August 17, 1957, and they shared 47 wonderful years together. Prior to her retirement, Frances was employed at Lakeshore Machine and Supply and Reliable Truck and Crane. In her free time, Frances took great joy in various hobbies and activities. She loved going on cruises, visiting the casino, bowling, and playing cards. Frances also cherished attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and spending quality time with her family, though she preferred it in small doses. Additionally, she was an active participant in Relay for Life and looked forward to the annual Irish Festival. Frances is survived by her daughters, Lynn (Steve) Kordecki, Cheryl (Rick) Genson, Debra Hinkle, and Bonnie (Art) Szot; grandchildren, Michelle (Michael) Kordecki, Leslie Kordecki, Kayla (Chris) May, Brittany (Brandon) West, Chris (Hidy) Hinkle, Nick (Kelsi) Hinkle, Sammi (Zac) Hinkle, Renee Hinkle, and Benjamin Szot; great-grandchildren, Spencer, Addison, Kohen, Brayden, Zander, Ariana, Bradly, Reagen, Luna, and Beckett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Susan (Rozelle) Hronek; husband, Fredrick; and granddaughter, Stephanie Ries.
