Mrs. Frances M. Rowson's Obituary
Mrs. Frances M. Rowson, 95, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022, in Grand Rapids. She was born December 2, 1926, to John and Ruby (Potter) Kushmaul in Hesperia and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. She was an Administrative Assistant at Sealed Power and Brunswick. Mrs. Rowson was a member of the Muskegon Eagles #668 Women’s Auxiliary and Drill Team for over 50 years. She enjoyed traveling to compete in State and International competitions with the drill and ritual team and held all of the offices in the Auxiliary except secretary and treasurer. She volunteered with many events and bake sales with the Women’s Auxiliary and also enjoyed gardening, playing cribbage, and taking the grandchildren to the property in Hesperia. In May of 1964 she married William J. Rowson and he preceded her in death on September 13, 1998. Survivors include two daughters: Julianne (Ronald) TerMolen, Nancy (Thomas) Faino; four granddaughters: Lori (Robert) Jenkins, Jennifer (Justin) Gagliardo, Amber Sample, Ellen TerMolen; one grandson: Nathan TerMolen; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; one sister: Barbara Welsh; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by four sisters: Lovina “Mickey” Kelly, Betty Parmer, Mary Humphrey, and Betty Meyer. A service to celebrate and remember Mrs. Rowson’s life will be Wednesday, July 13, at 11:00 AM at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI 49441. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Kids’ Food Basket or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
