Frances Stenberg's Obituary
Mrs. Frances Stenberg, age 99, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 in Muskegon. She was born in Buena Vista, Pennsylvania on September 8, 1917 to Frank and Francisca (Kokole) Hladin. Frances was a member of the Slovene National Benefit Society and a charter member of First Congregational Church of Fruitport. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Fruitport Bowling League for many years. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and cherished time spent with her family. On November 22, 1941, Frances married Carl V. Stenberg and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2016. She is survived by two children, Don (Jan) Stenberg and Cheryl (Jim) Crays; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Frances was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jack Stenberg; 2 brothers and one sister. SERVICES for Frances will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 16, 2016 at First Congregational Church of Fruitport (3212 Pontaluna Rd, Fruitport, MI 49415) with Rev. Michael Scott officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. MEMORIALS in memory of Frances may be made to American Heart Association or to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
