Frances M. VandenBosch's Obituary
Frances M. Vanden Bosch, lifelong resident of Muskegon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2023. She was born on September 3, 1929 to Olga and Frank Fotis. She married Donald Vanden Bosch on February 12, 1947 and they celebrated fifty-two years before Don passed away in 1999. Frances is survived by two daughters, Judy Lampman and Janice (Bob) Lang; four granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren; 8 1/2 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; son, Donald Jr.; grandson, Jason Balcom; and granddaughter, Lori Field. Frances was devoted to her faith, her family and her extended family and friends. She loved fishing, card playing, puzzles and cooking. She always had a cup of coffee and food for anyone who stopped by for a visit. Many remember her amazing cinnamon rolls, apple pie, baked beans, and her sense of humor. Frances embraced life fully and now her race of life is over, and she has entered her eternal home. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 2 PM Saturday, August 26, 2023 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service, from 1-2 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Muskegon Rescue Mission or Loaves of Grace Food Pantry in Muskegon.
