Frances Marie Wickstrom's Obituary
Frances M. “Fran” Wickstrom, age 96, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 at Lakeshore Assisted Living in Grand Haven. She was born September 19, 1926 in Muskegon to Fred J. and Angeline (Dertien) LeTarte and grew up in the Muskegon area where she graduated from St. Jean’s Catholic School. Fran married John A. Wickstrom on October 23, 1948 and he preceded her in death. Fran worked for a time as a secretary and became a homemaker to raise her 5 children. She later returned to work at the S.D. Warren Papermill and retired on October 1, 1991. Fran was a longtime parishioner of St. Francis de Sales and St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Churches. She also volunteered many years for the American Red Cross. Survivors include her 5 children, Paul A. Wickstrom, David J. Wickstrom, Geralyn A. (Michael) Lamkin, Diane M. Wright, Thomas G. Wickstrom; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, Eloise Eddy and 1 brother, Harold LeTarte. Private Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. For those wishing to make an expression of sympathy, please consider St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.
