Frances M. Brink's Obituary
Mrs. Frances M. Brink, 89, died Thursday morning, Nov. 6, 2008 at her home. Born Feb. 7, 1919 in Muskegon to Nicholas and Maude (DeBoer) Peterman, she lived in Muskegon all her life. On July 8, 1944 she married Warren E. Brink in New York City, and he died in 1983. Mrs. Brink was a member of Evanston Avenue Baptist Church, its Senior Sunday School Class, Women’s Missionary Fellowship, and had been church secretary for ten years, retiring in 1980. Mrs. Brink enjoyed knitting, bowling and reading, but her family was her first love. Her survivors include a son, Roger W. (Barbara) Brink and a daughter, Lois (George) Monroe,a son-in-law, David Stevens all of Muskegon; four granddaughters: Danelle (Jordan) Nemmers of Grand Rapids, Meghan Brink, and Andrea (Trevor) Johnson both of Muskegon, and Stephanie Stevens of Phoenix, AZ; a great-grandson, Peter Brink Nemmers; two step-grandchildren: Pamela Morey and Timothy (Rebecca) Monroe; and three step-great-grandchildren: Amanda and Carol Ann Morey and Deanna Monroe all of Muskegon; sisters-in-law: Geneva, Evelyn, and Dolores Peterman and Doris Fisher; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Sharon Stevens; brothers: Clarence, Lester, Bill, Marvin, George, Don and John; and a sister, Bernice. FUNERAL SERVICES for Mrs. Brink will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday at Evanston Ave. Baptist Church with Pastors Shane Prewitt and Al Engstrom officiating, and interment in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
