When he retired My dad spent every Friday for the next 2 years towing my race car to Winston raceway in Rothberry. Every single Friday During race season for 2 years he was with me in the pits every single week. Another very fond memory is when he and I lived together just the 2 of us. He was a Bachelor with a teenage son in the early 70's. Just the 2 of us spent every day together for about a year, that was a great time. He had long hair even. We packed lunches and rode bicycles for miles on Saturdays. I also especially treasure the first several years after we first got the river front property. It was very rustic and quiet. Another unforgettable memory was when I took Dad and Mom Ferrier vacationing with us. They were always fun. We went to the Bahamas, Key West, Fort Lauderdale, and many other fun places along the way. It was specially memorable when the folks went with for a horse drawn sleigh ride through the woods in a true snow sleigh. When I built my new home in 1999, He was there to help me with finishing it. We spent many, many hours together finishing the drywall and painting. That was a great bonding time too. He used to come over with mom all the time. And I even remember him going across the street and climbing up a tree at 69 years old, to help Joey build a fort. There were many, many special times we shared. Rodeo, Nascar, Camping, Vacations or just helping and being there for us 100%.
