Francis "Frank" Harvey Carr, Jr.'s Obituary
Francis Harvey “Frank” Carr, Jr., age 85, of Grand Haven passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023, at home. He was born March 21, 1938, in Grand Rapids, MI to Francis Harvey and Annajane (Dempsey) Carr, Sr., and he married Marilyn “Mary” Leestma on August 26, 1961, in Wyoming, MI. Frank worked for forty-one years for General Motors as a tool & die engineer. He loved puttering around, deer hunting, skeet shooting, camping, sailing and power boating, and most of all time spent with family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Marilyn “Mary” Carr; two daughters, Shawn (David) Vallier and Stacy (Paul) Lotterman; five grandchildren: Haley (Derek) Korthuis, Lindy Vallier, Jake Vallier, Michael Lotterman and Meghan Lotterman; great-granddaughter, Freya Lotterman; three sisters: Lucille (Floyd) Durham, Rita Warren and Beverly (John) Wykes; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private immediate family service has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice or Harbor Hospice are appreciated.
