Frank E. DiPiazza, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Frank E. Di Piazza, Jr., age 69, passed away late Monday, February 20, 2023, at his home. He was born April 6, 1953, to Frank E. and Dorothy M. (Price) Di Piazza, Sr., in Grand Rapids and lived most of his life in Muskegon. Frank owned and operated American Business Computers before retirement. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church for many years and was a past president of DeColores. Frank was very active with the Northside Lions both locally and district-wide, where he was a recipient of the Progressive Melvin Jones award. Frank enjoyed serving his community. On October 4, 1980, he married Evelyn “Evie” M. Norman, and she survives him along with three sons: Michael (Amanda Lang) Di Piazza, Darin (Michelle) Di Piazza, Travis (Nicole) Di Piazza; six grandchildren: Baila, Lauren, Beck, Rachel, Kyler, and Brielle; one sister: Deirdre (Alan) Kohley; one brother: Kevin (Suzanne) Di Piazza. He was preceded in death by his Mother & Father. Frank’s faith in God, his love for and from his family and friends, and his devoted wife, Evie, sustained him during his last days of illness. Frank was a loving husband and father. He had immense pride in his sons, and really flourished in his role as Grandpa. Frank was very passionate and enjoyed debating his opinions with anyone that would listen – perhaps it was his Italian roots. A service to celebrate and remember Frank’s life will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1206 Whitehall Rd., N. Muskegon, 49445. The service will be livestreamed. You may go to Facebook or YouTube and put in First Lutheran Church and it will direct you from there. Visitation at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI, 49444, will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday, February 28. Contributions in memory of Mr. Di Piazza may be made to the Muskegon Northside Lions or the First Lutheran Abiding Memorial.
