Frank G. Haara's Obituary
Frank Gordon Haara, died peacefully at his home January 11, 2019, after a short battle with cancer. Frank was born on May 31, 1945, in Highland Park, MI, to Gordon and Lila (Nurmi) Haara. On August 28, 1965, he married Mary Adamczak at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Muskegon. Frank served in the United States Navy and was later employed by Kaydon Corporation, retiring in 2007. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Mary, and their children, Kristine Haara and Brian (Laura) Haara, and his beloved grandchildren, Madeline Rose and Bennett Joseph, his aunt Ruth Nurmi, his brothers and sisters-in-law Ed and Pam Adamczak, Steve and Candy Adamcak, Helen and Henry Kling, and Kathy and Christopher Ruiter. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Sally and his brother, Kenneth.
VISITATION will be held 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2019 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., 231-759-8565 and the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Sixth and Dale, Muskegon, MI. Military Rites will take place at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Muskegon. Memorial contributions: Muskegon Catholic Education Foundation or Harbor Hospice Foundation.
