Frank G. Hiza's Obituary
Frank G. Hiza, age 91, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018. He was born on October 4, 1927 to John and Anna (Necas) Hiza in Muskegon. Frank worked for 50 years for the city of Muskegon Heights, many as the superintendent of the Mona View Cemetery. He was an avid golfer and pool player, meeting every Wednesday with his friends to catch a round. His greatest love in life was his family, he cherished his time with his daughters and his beloved grandchildren. Frank was his grandchildren’s #1 fan; he graced every basketball court, soccer field and hockey rink the kids played at. On May 12, 1962 Frank married the former Patsy Brunk and they spent 40 happy years together until her passing in June of 2002. He is survived by his daughters, Kim (Dave) DeBruin, Karen (Steve) Mastella; grandchildren, Jess, Luke (Brooke) DeBruin, Kersti, Marissa, Chase Mastella; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers and eight sisters. A VISITATION with Frank’s family will take place on Friday, November 23, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291. S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will take place on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to services.
