Mr. Frank S. Koteles' Obituary
Frank Steven Koteles, age 93, died on July 1, 2018 at Lake Woods Nursing Home. Frank was born on February 15, 1925 in Muskegon Heights to Frank and Julia Barbara (Skrivanek) Koteles. He attended school in Muskegon Heights and graduated with the class of 1942. Frank served in the US Army from 1943-1946 in the European Campaign with the 70th Infantry Division. On July 14, 1956 he married Eleanor Lein-Weber of Weilburg/Lahn, Germany at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muskegon Heights. He retired from the Muskegon County Road Commission on April 1, 1987. Frank was a longtime member of the Muskegon Area Amateur Radio Council. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Julia Rose Koteles; and brother, Joseph John (Constance) Koteles. He is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (540 E. Summit Ave., 49444) with Rev. Fr. Philip Shangraw presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11AM. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
