I had the privilege of working with Frank for my last three years as a Scouting professional. Frank's dedication to Scouting and to his profession has stuck with me to this day. Frank had the ability to always say the perfect thing when I was having a tough time. I still treasure our conversations and his "fatherly" advice. Rest well Frank
Frank was a great mentor to me when I worked with him at the Boy Scouts our of Grand Rapids. He had a strong passion for the Scouting program and ensuring local youth had many opportunities to grow and learn in Scouting. Him and I would often give each other crap when working together at the Scouting office and it was just fun to talk to Frank every day in the office. Frank helped me become a successful Scouting professional and taught me a lot about how to steward genuine and meaningful relationships with not only the people we worked with but anyone we encountered. Frank will truly be missed and I am a better person cause of my time with Frank.
Frank was an absolute joy to get to know. He had a dry sense of humor and a drive that sometimes became intense. When it did, we teased each other, which was TRULY endearing. All of it was from a place of mutual respect and it made working with him that much better.
He made an impact on me. I send my deepest condolences, prayers, and love to his family.
Frank’s dry sense of humor complimented his dedication to community service. He often recruited others for assistance with projects, but never asking for more than he personally was willing to give. Frank’s legacy of service is admirable.
Frank was an amazing person and a great Scouter. He was a tremendous professional partner to me in my volunteer roles and he positively impacted many hundreds of young Scouters during his professional and volunteer service. The Ellis family is offering prayers for peace and comfort.
My wife and I knew Frank through scouting, he was an inspiration to our troop, he helped us with Klondike, we helped him with many events. He will be dearly missed. We will always remember him with a smile. He has impacted so many lives in a positive way.
Frank was among the most dedicated and talented professional Scouters I have ever worked with. I am forever grateful he was a leader of the Queens Council team!
