Frank T. Strach Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Frank T. Strach Sr., age 79, passed away at home surrounded by his family on April 16, 2012. He was born on November 25, 1932 to Ignatius and Agnes (Jozor) Strach in Muskegon. Frank was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. He worked 35 years as a contract administrator for General Dynamics Land Systems up until his retirement in 1997. He was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 - 1960. He had a lifelong passion for baseball, which included many years of playing and coaching. On April 4, 1959 he married Dorothy (Baskin) and she survives him along with 2 children, Frank Strach Jr. and Steve (Heather) Strach both of Muskegon and brother, John Strach; along with many nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Michael, Joseph, Stanley and Edward “Bobo”. MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL will take place 11:00 AM Friday, April 20, 2012 at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding. VISITATION will be 6-8 PM Thursday with a Rosary being prayed at 6PM at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 Memorials to VNS Hospice, or St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church would be appreciated. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
