Frank S. Stuhan's Obituary
Frank S. Stuhan, age 101, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Wednesday morning, September 3, 2025. He was born November 17, 1923, in Moorland Twp., MI, to Julius and Mary (Pipoly) Stuhan. Frank attended a one-room schoolhouse in Sullivan Township during his youth. Over the years, he worked as a machinist in various shops before retiring in 1986 from Teledyne Continental Motors. On May 1, 1948, he married the love of his life, Antoinette J. “Dolly” Sowa, in Muskegon. Sadly, she preceded him in death on January 23, 2002. A devoted man of faith, Frank was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Frank’s hobbies were construction and ‘puttering’. He built the family homes, among many others, and he could fix just about anything. He found great joy in working with his hands. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and always gave his best to his beloved wife and daughters. Frank was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS include three daughters: Kathy (Dick) Deery, Linda Allard, and Judy (Matt) Bosma; six grandchildren: Jason and Jonathan Deery, Jessica (Darby Sagala) Bosma, Molly (Ryan) Johnson, Brent (Rebecca) Allard, and Kelley (Todd Robinson) Allard; four great-grandchildren: Caroline, Brooke, Addison, and Cooper; brother, Robert Stuhan; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Joe Allard; three sisters; and five brothers. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 AM Saturday, September 13, 2025, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday, September 12, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church would be appreciated. As a special tribute to Frank, honor his way of life by performing a random act of kindness.
