Frank F. Schomogyi's Obituary
Mr. Frank F. Schomogyi, age 69, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011. He was born on September 27, 1941 to Michael and Anna (Resetar) Schomogyi in Muskegon. On November 25, 1961 he married the former Patricia Hall and they enjoyed 49 years of marriage. Frank was a salesman for NCH Corporation for 31 years. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Frank loved golf, playing cards and going to the casinos. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Lisa (Lee) Becklin of Fruitport, Mark (Lisa) Schomogyi of Tacoma, WA, Kendra (Jim) Hogue of Naples, FL; 8 grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor (Gene) Schmitt, Theresa (Roy) Ferrell; brother, Mike (Dawn) Schomogyi; sister-in-law, Evelyn Horvath. He was preceded in death by his parents and half-brother, Joe Horvath. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 1, 2011 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 2929 McCracken Ave., with Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. There will be a time of VISITATION with the family from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday August 31, 2011 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Muskegon County Catholic Education Foundation Inc. or St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
