Frank G. "Bud" Stolt's Obituary
Mr. Frank G. “Bud” Stolt Jr., age 90, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday morning, June 10, 2008 at a Muskegon hospital. Bud was born in Muskegon on April 19, 1918, the 4th of 8 children of Frank G. Sr. and Eva (Olsen) Stolt. He married the former Edith I. Wilson in Muskegon on February 4, 1950. Edith preceded him in death on June 27, 1988.
While Edith and Bud had no children of their own, throughout their life together they found joy caring for and loving their many nieces and nephews, many of whom survive and remember “Uncle Bud” with great fondness. Mr. Stolt was employed by the City of Norton Shores, Water Department, retiring in 1983. He later married the former Irene O. (Mullennix) Carlson on June 23, 1996. This marriage added to his family and he acquired to his delight, a couple of new names: “Grandpa and “Dad”. He was happily “adopted’ by Irene’s large family. Mr Stolt is survived by his loving wife, Irene of Norton Shores; step-daughter, Julia L. (Thomas) George of Norton Shores and their 4 children and 13 grandchildren. He is also survived by Irene’s 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who reside in Texas. They came to know and love him through many happy visits. Bud was a member of Temple United Methodist Church. He was laid to rest in Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The Memorial Service will be held at:
