Frank L. Bailey's Obituary
Mr. Frank L. Bailey, age 77, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010 at his home in North Muskegon. He was born in Black Oak, AR on January 26, 1933 to Lee and Woodsie (Clapp) Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War. He had been employed by S.D. Warren for 40 years before his retirement in 1994. Mr. Bailey was a member of Muskegon Church of Christ. He was an avid treasure hunter; especially enjoying his hunts in Panama City Beach, FL where he and his wife wintered since 1994. On August 4, 1978, Frank married the former Nancy L. Elick-Higgins and she survives him along with 2 sons, Tony (Karel) Bailey and Derek (Lisa) Bailey, both of Muskegon; 3 step-children, Dennis (Carolyn) Higgins of Kansas City, KS, Brenda (Larry) Phillips of Taylor, MI and Mark (Rein) Higgins of Lansing, MI; 3 granddaughters, Meghan (Dennis) Baldwin, Lauren (Jared) Bailey-Meldrum and Jessica Bailey; 10 step-grandchildren and 1 sister, Willene (John) Davis of Jonesboro, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, a half-sister and a half-brother. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday at Muskegon Church of Christ (3164 Marquette Ave.) with military honors performed under the auspices of the Muskegon County Council. MEMORIALS in Mr. Bailey’s name may be made to Hospice of Michigan or charity of your choice.
