Frank Lawrence Carroll's Obituary
Mr. Frank Lawrence Carroll, age 88, passed away Monday, December 1, 2003 in Muskegon, Michigan. He was born June 1, 1915 in Pikeville, KY to John and Mary (Coleman) Carrroll and came to Muskegon 3 months ago to live with his daughter, Wanda. We worked as a coal miner for over 40 years in Kentucky and Virginia and retired in 1978. He married the former Cora L. McCown in 1940 while living in Pikeville and she preceded him in death in 1998. SURVIVORS include 10 children, Frank (Loretta) Carroll of Muskegon, Jettie (Chester) Johnson of Pikeville, Jesse (Avaline) Carroll of Gallipolis, Bill Carroll of OH, Vlarie Coleman of Muskegon, Wanda (Roger) Williams of Muskegon, Linda (Bob) Trost of Dearborn Heights, Marsha Goodman of KY, Ferman (Paula) Carroll of Muskegon, Randall Carroll of KY; 24 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Lorraine (Stanley) Malinowski of Ravenna, Hazel Kaley of Fremont, Dee (Pete) of Lansing. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Edgar Williams, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 6, 2003 at Lucas and Hall Funeral Home in Pikeville, KY. Visitation with Frank's family will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442, (231) 726-5210. Visitation will also be held 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Friday, December 5, 2003 at Lucas and Hall Funeral Home in Pikeville, KY. Burial will take place at Annie E. Young Cemetery in Pikeville, KY. MEMORIAL GIFTS may be made to the family.
