Frank M. Schroder's Obituary
Mr. Frank M. Schroder, age 91, passed away on October 9, 2009 following a long illness. He was born in Detroit on February 19, 1918 to Frank C. and Laura M. (Paperine) Schroder and was a graduate of the University of Detroit where he received his Bachelor’s in Business Degree. On June 22, 1946 he married the former Lucille M. Kolany and moved to Muskegon in 1962. Until retiring in 1980, Frank was employed as a purchasing agent at Brunswick Corporation. Frank enjoyed living in West Michigan, taking walks along the lake and in the parks. Frank and Lucille were members of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Mrs. Schroder preceded him in death on June 29, 2007. Mr. Schroder is survived by his: daughter, Mary J. (Bruce) Torgeson of Roosevelt Park; two sons, Richard F. (Melanie) Schroder of Norton Shores and Charles J. Schroder of Grand Rapids; four grandchildren: Edward A. Schroder, Natalie E. (Chas) Hibbard, Marissa J. Torgeson and Tara E. Torgeson and two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Kendall Hibbard. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Murphy. A Memorial Mass will be held in the Marian Chapel of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 16, 2009 with Fr. Anton Tran presiding. Inurnment: St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions: St. Francis de Sales or Harbor Hospice. The family will begin receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
