Fred Eric Bowman's Obituary
Mr. Fred Eric Bowman, age 63, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 in Grand Haven, Michigan. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on November 12, 1962 to Caroll and Bertha (Pace) Bowman. Fred was employed by Sparrow Hospital in St. Johns prior to his medical retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family, crafting, and cheering on the Spartans! Following his diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, Fred’s sisters stepped in and, each in their own way, provided him with loving and dedicated care. He is survived by his wife, Shelly Wolverton-Bowman; three children, Jerrica (Casey) O’Connell, Hailey (Alex) Talmadge, and Quinn (Noora) Bowman; four grandchildren, Sebastian O’Connell, Faye and Leo Talmadge, and Baby Girl Bowman on the way; five sisters, Kathy (Harry) Preston, Marilyn Bowman-Hes, Joan Bowman, Nancy (Steve) Cook, and Becky Bowman; two brothers, Buck (Sherry) Bowman and Ken (Becky) Bowman; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Ray Hes. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 2, 2026 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with VISITATION one hour prior to his service.
