Freda Rosalia Whitney's Obituary
Mrs. Freda Rosalia Whitney, age 86, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2005 at a local hospital. She was born October 15, 1918 in Casey, IL to Reason and Audrey (Huddelson) Hosman and lived in the Muskegon area since 1936. She was a member of Evanston Avenue Baptist Church and also volunteered with the Grandparent Program for the Muskegon Public Schools. SURVIVORS include 3 children, David (Judy) Whitney of Medford, OR, Nadine (Dan) Therrian of Muskegon, and Kathleen (Jerry) Johnson of Grand Rapids; 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1great great granddaughter; 1 brother, Harold Hosman of California; 2 sisters, Margaret Comer and Doris Ballinger of Illinois. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at Evanston Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Allan Engstrom officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with Freda’s family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210.
