Fred B. Jasenak's Obituary
Mr. Florian B. “Fred” Jasenak passed away on Saturday, February 20th, 2010. Fred was born in Lansford, PA on January 9, 1925 to John and Pauline (Novak) Jasenak. Following service to his country during WWII, Fred came to Muskegon and went to work at the Norge. He married the former Rose M. Kolenic at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on June 12, 1948. Rose preceded him in death on March 17, 2004. Until his retirement, Mr. Jasenak was employed as a chemist at S.D. Warren. Mr. Jasenak was a member of both St. Mary’s and St. Michael’s the Archangel Catholic Churches . He is survived by: daughter, Judith (James) McCann of Bedford, TX; two granddaughters, Jessica McCann and Julie (Brandon) Stinchcomb; great-granddaughter, Alli; two brothers, Paul Yasenak of Grand Haven and Francis (Stephanie) Jasenak of Mansfield, OH; and one sister, Margaret Puksar of Easton, PA. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Michael’s the Archangel Catholic Church, 11:00 A.M., Tuesday April 20, 2010, Fr. T.J. Brown presiding. He will be laid to rest next to Rose in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
