Frederick M. "Fred" Goldberg's Obituary
Frederick M. “Fred” Goldberg, age 61, of Spring Lake passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018, at his home. He was born April 13, 1956, in Grand Haven to Frederick J.D. and Linda (Howard) Goldberg, Jr. and he married Lelita “Lily” Serilles on October 14, 1978, in Grand Haven.
Fred served his country in the Marines, and worked as the property manager at Swiss Village Apartments. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and most of all spending time with his family.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Lelita “Lily” Goldberg of Spring Lake; his son, Scott (Nicole) Goldberg of West Olive; three grandchildren: Brady, Lyla, and Maya Goldberg; two sisters, Karen (Jack) LaFrance of West Olive and Gail (Dave) Hanis of Nunica; one brother, Randy (Mercy) Goldberg of Grand Haven; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Goldberg on October 9, 2017, and his brother, Theodore “Teddy” Goldberg in 1981.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services- The VanZantwick Chapel with Rev. Toby Gruppen officiating. Military rites will be provided by the American Legion Charles A. Conklin Post # 28 Honor Guard. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
