Frederick L. Juhnke Jr.'s Obituary
Frederick L. Juhnke Jr., age 89, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at his home. Fred was born December 7, 1935 in Muskegon, MI to Fredrick and Cora (Dopple) Juhnke. After Graduating high school, Fred went on to join the United States Naval Reserves and worked at Dupont for 20 plus years before they closed. After that, Fred worked for AC Carrier as a dispatcher. On October 5, 1957, Fred married the love of his life, Gloria Charles. The two spent 62 wonderful years full of memories together. His love for antique tractors led him to be one of the founding members of the Antique Farm Power Club in 1991. Fred was a former member of Lake Harbor Baptist Church. Fred looked forward to his weekly tradition of breakfast with his old friends at Whitlow's on Wednesday mornings. These gatherings were a cherished time for laughter, camaraderie, and shared memories, where Frederick could catch up with friends and enjoy the warmth of good conversation. It was one of his favorite times of the week. Survivors include his 2 sons, Eric (Debra) Juhnke and Brian (Lisa) Juhnke; 9 grandchildren, Jerimie (Amy) Ike, Jake (Jennifer) Ike, Joshua Ike, Jamie Ike, Jodi (Emmett) Terbeek, Jerrica (Brendan) Deuby, Sarah Juhnke, Kristin (Jason) Wilbur and Rachel Presley; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren; and his faithful dog, Watson. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Gloria Juhnke; and granddaughter Jessica Juhnke Cereska. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
