Frederick C. "Fred" Liebertz's Obituary
Frederick C. “Fred” Liebertz, age 84, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024. He was
born September 1, 1939 in Owosso, MI to Carl F. and Lillian A. (Bleibaum) Liebertz. Fred
married Nancy Jane Grevel in Muskegon on December 5, 1975. He worked as a draftsman
and designer for Haworth in Holland and retired in 2001. Fred was a longtime member of
First Reformed Church where he served as an elder and deacon. He was currently an active
member of Discovering Christ Church of Muskegon. He loved gardening, spending time
with family at the lake, restoring classic cars, and was active in car shows. Survivors
include his loving wife, Nancy J. Liebertz; 5 children, Carl Liebertz, Ben Liebertz, Chris
(Laura) Liebertz, Amy (Andy) Wolfsen, Julie (Randy) Behm; 3 grandchildren, Libby
Liebertz, Elsa Behm, and Harrison Behm; and step-sister, Gaylynne Liebertz. He was
preceded in death by his parents, and step-parents. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00
AM Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Discovering Christ Church of Muskegon, 2330 Holton Road,
Muskegon, MI 49445, with Pastor Scott VanArendonk officiating. Visitation will be held
one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in
Montague. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Discovering Christ Church of
